Last updated: July 19, 2026

1. About These Terms

This website, skillworks.ng (the “Site”), is owned and operated by Skillworks Service International Ltd (“Skillworks”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in Nigeria with its registered office at 16 Isiokpo Street, D-Line, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site. By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Relationship to Other Agreements

These Terms cover your use of the Site only.

If you enrol in a Skillworks programme, your enrolment is governed by a separate Student Enrolment Agreement, together with our Fees, Refund and Withdrawal Policy. Where these Terms conflict with a signed Student Enrolment Agreement, the Enrolment Agreement prevails in respect of your training.

Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

3. Eligibility

You may use the Site if you are at least 18 years old, or if you are between 13 and 17 and use the Site with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Enrolment in programmes by anyone under 18 requires the written consent of a parent or guardian.

You agree that any information you provide to us through the Site is accurate, current, and complete.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Site to learn about Skillworks, our programmes, and our activities, to make enquiries, and to submit applications.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable Nigerian law
  • Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Site or its content without our prior written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
  • Use automated systems, scrapers, or bots to extract data from the Site
  • Impersonate Skillworks, our staff, or any other person
  • Interfere with the proper working of the Site or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
  • Use the Site to send unsolicited commercial communications
  • Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, discriminatory, or infringes the rights of others

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

5. Accounts

Where the Site allows you to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity carried out under your account. You must notify us promptly at contact@skillworks.ng if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or close any account that we reasonably believe has been used in breach of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, video, audio, course outlines, curriculum descriptions, downloadable materials, and software, is the property of Skillworks or its licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property law.

The names “Skillworks”, “SkillHer”, and “Skill For All”, together with associated logos and marks, are the property of Skillworks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial reference. All other use requires our written permission.

Course materials issued to enrolled students are licensed to that student for personal learning use only. They may not be shared, resold, uploaded to third-party platforms, or used to deliver training to others.

7. Content You Submit

If you submit content to the Site, including enquiries, application details, comments, reviews, testimonials, or project work, you confirm that you own it or have the right to submit it, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

By submitting content, you grant Skillworks a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our services and marketing. We will seek your separate consent before using your name, photograph, or likeness in any advertising material.

We may remove any submitted content at our discretion.

8. Programme Information, Fees and Availability

We take care to keep information on the Site accurate, but course content, module structure, duration, schedules, delivery format, instructors, and fees may change.

Information published on the Site is for general guidance and does not constitute a binding offer. A place on a programme is confirmed only when we issue a written acceptance and the required payment has been received in accordance with our Fees Policy.

Advertised fees are subject to change. The fee applicable to you is the fee stated in your Student Enrolment Agreement.

We may reschedule, restructure, or cancel a cohort where enrolment numbers, staffing, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control require it. Where we cancel a cohort before it begins, we will offer a transfer to the next available cohort or a refund of fees paid for that cohort, at your election.

9. No Guarantee of Employment or Outcome

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

Skillworks provides training, mentorship, portfolio development, and career guidance. We do not guarantee employment, internship placement, freelance work, income, visa outcomes, relocation, or any other specific result arising from participation in our programmes.

Any career support, internship facilitation, employer introduction, or placement assistance we provide is offered on a best-efforts basis and is subject to availability, your performance, employer requirements, and market conditions.

Where we publish statistics, testimonials, or case studies relating to student outcomes, these describe past results for particular individuals. They are not a promise or prediction of your result.

Your outcome depends substantially on your own effort, attendance, aptitude, prior experience, and factors outside our control.

10. Certificates

Certificates of completion are issued to students who satisfy the attendance, assessment, and project requirements of their programme, and whose fees have been paid in full.

A Skillworks certificate evidences completion of a Skillworks programme. It is not a degree, diploma, or qualification awarded by any university, and it does not confer any statutory or professional licence unless expressly stated.

Where a programme prepares students for an external certification awarded by a third party, that certification is awarded by the third party under its own rules and fees, and is not guaranteed by Skillworks.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services. We provide these for convenience only. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms.

12. Payments

Where payments are made through the Site, they are processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of those services is subject to the provider’s own terms and privacy practices. We do not store your full card details.

You are responsible for ensuring that payments are made from an account you are authorised to use. We reserve the right to decline or reverse any payment we reasonably suspect to be fraudulent.

13. Availability of the Site

We aim to keep the Site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades, or as a result of events outside our control, including power, network, or hosting failures.

We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Site at any time without notice.

14. Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Content on the Site, including blog articles and guides, is provided for general information. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or career advice, and should not be relied upon as such.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Skillworks, its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₦50,000, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skillworks, its directors, employees, and contractors against any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

17. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and our Privacy Policy. Please read the Privacy Policy to understand what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

18. Cookies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate correctly, remember preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how parts of the Site function. Further detail is set out in our Privacy Policy.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the version in force, and the “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If a dispute arises, we ask that you contact us first at contact@skillworks.ng so that we can attempt to resolve it directly. Where a dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, the parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before commencing proceedings.

Subject to the above, the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

21. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision does not amount to a waiver of that provision.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Student Enrolment Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Skillworks in relation to your use of the Site.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.
